New system for long-term conditions
Clinical Solutions is due to launch its new system for the management
of long-term conditions (LTCs) at the Healthcare Computing conference
and exhibition (HC2007) this month.
By placing patients’ needs at the heart of the service, the case
management and decision support software enables GPs and nurses to
support care of patients with LTCs more easily.
When integrated with telemonitoring devices, it allows clinicians to
support and advise patients on ongoing care without the need for a home
visit or surgery appointment.
Jackie Rice-Haga, Clinical Solutions’ Director of Nursing explains:
“We must acknowledge the fact that there is an ageing population around
the world that will require ongoing care. Within health services
globally, there is an ever-increasing need to use existing resources in
the most appropriate way. This system uses primary care givers’ time
more effectively to empower patients with long term conditions to take
more responsibility for how they look after themselves.”
Visit Clinical Solutions at stand B50 at the
Healthcare Computing
exhibition, held at the Harrogate International Centre, 19–21 March.
