Yorkshire Ambulance Service signs with ACTIVE
The new Yorkshire Ambulance Service has entered into a contract with
Berkshire-based Active for the supply of its geographic information
system across the region.
The system, called Total Solution Mapping, is an analysis tool
enabling the visualisation, manipulation and interpretation of a wide
range of datasets. Over 50 NHS trusts and agencies already use the
product to help them understand the people they serve, plan their
services and monitor the impacts of change on workload.
"Total solution mapping was selected on the basis of its track record
in West Yorkshire in recent years, its ease of use and its speed", said
David Johnson, Director of IT at the ambulance service. "ACTIVE has
effectively responded to our needs and the system’s specification and
performance will supply important information to the Trust across both
operational and planning issues."
ACTIVE is headquartered in Basingstoke and supplies systems, data and
advisory services to the healthcare and socialcare industry, as well as
to further and higher education and the sports and town-planning
markets.
